The Regional Forums on Sustainable Development (RFSD)

The implementation and the monitoring of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs are supported in each world region by the five United Nations Regional Commissions, with the organisation of yearly Regional Forums on Sustainable Development (RFSD).

EU States are represented by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN ECE) which has the responsibility for convening the annual UN ECE Regional Forum on Sustainable Development. The UN ECE is not limited to the European Union and support the SDGs in Europe, but also countries in North America (Canada and United States), Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) and Western Asia (Israel). Follow this link to see all 56 Member States of the UN ECE region.

The first edition of the RFSD was launched in 2017 followed by the second edition in 2018.
EDF attended both European Regional Forums in Geneva.
