Since 2015, the European Disability Forum (EDF) has joined forces with Oracle to promote accessibility in information and communication technologies (ICT). This awards is for students with disabilities studying in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, User Experience, or related fields enrolled at an EU university.

This year a scholarship of 6,500€ was awarded to Renata Dezso-Dinnyes, who is a doctoral student from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest, Hungary. Her study focuses on user experience related to digitally manufactured (i.e. 3D printing that uses computer data) objects such as prosthetics. Ms Dezso-Dinnyes was recognized for the originality and innovativeness of her idea, scientific quality and respect to the state of the art, how the project considers diverse needs of persons with disabilities, and the contribution it makes to advancing accessibility for persons with disabilities.

Please join us in a short online ceremony to congratulate Ms Dezso-Dinnyes for her achievement. During the ceremony members of the scholarship jury will highlight how this particular project stood out for them, and Ms Dezso-Dinnyes will do a short presentation of her project.

The ceremony will be held in English, and we will provide International Sign interpretation and real-time captioning.
